LC120 is part of the LIPO-C family used in fat-metabolism and energy-conversion studies. It combines amino acid derivatives and nutrient cofactors in a single aqueous solution. L-carnitine serves as the molecular escort for long-chain fatty acids across the inner mitochondrial membrane, while methionine and choline support hepatic lipid export, and dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) aids coenzyme A synthesis.

作用机制

The primary mechanism centers on the carnitine shuttle: CPT1 enzymes attach fatty acids to carnitine for transport across the inner mitochondrial membrane. Once inside, the fatty acid undergoes beta-oxidation to generate ATP. Methionine and choline support lipid metabolism and liver function, while dexpanthenol contributes to coenzyme A synthesis for energy pathways.
